2017 Student Showcase – Call for Proposals
FATE (Florida Association of Teacher Educators), would like to announce a Call for Student Poster presentations for the 2017 Annual FATE Conference to be held at Palm Beach State College, Boca Raton, Florida on October 13 & 14, 2017. This conference provides students with the opportunity to present research and/or classroom strategies utilized during field observation or clinical experiences, which may be of interest to teacher educators as well as other education professionals. The purpose of the FATE conference is to provide pre-service, in-service, and teacher educators with valuable information and support, making it an ideal setting for student presenters, regardless of experience.
Please submit a proposal for the Student Poster Presentation by July 15, 2017 at the FATE website (Call for Proposals Form) and follow the guidelines for the Call for Proposals and mark the appropriate area to indicate the submission as a Student Showcase (Poster Session). Members of the FATE Board serving on the Showcase committee will judge posters that are accepted. Two winners will be chosen – one for the graduate-level and one for the undergraduate-level. Each winner will receive a monetary award of $100 at the conference. Judging criteria and presentation requirements are included at the end of this letter.
If your poster proposal is accepted, you are required to register for the conference and pay the FATE student registration fee of $50. Acceptance emails will be sent by mid-August, 2017. If you have additional questions regarding the poster proposal or the FATE conference, please contact me via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of the FATE board, thank you for your interest and support.
